Question

Can my husband claim me as a dependent if I am disabled but don't have the disability tax credit approved yet? He is already claiming my mother as a dependent.

I did not work this past year. We already clicked the box that says I am dependent on him for food, shelter, etc. but I keep getting stalled by the fact that I don't have an approved disability tax credit yet. What am I doing wrong?

    If you don't have your disability tax credit approved yet, then you will not be able to claim the credit or transfer it to your husband at this time.
