My son just turned 18, do i still add him to my claim?

    As your son turned 18, he is not considered a dependent anymore even though you are still supporting them, unless he has has a physical or mental impairment.

    The “dependant” over 18 only qualifies if the dependant is physically or mentally impaired.

    But you may be eligible to claim your son's medical expense credit on line 33199 of your return.
