Question

1st my tax return showed a different amount due when I clicked on "amend return" because of the unemployment tax break but I never did it. Now its gone. Why?

I filed early, before the unemployment tax break,

The IRS is automatically adjusting tax returns for the $10,200 unemployment exemption. You do not have to do anything in TurboTax.

 

If you clicked "amend return," TurboTax will reset your refund boxes to $0. If you cancelled the amend process, your refund will be back to what it would have been had you filed with the unemployment exemption.
