2017 amended return Column A and Column C match

I am trying to print my 2017 amended return. I was able to print it correctly once; column A had the numbers from the old return, Column C had the values from the amendment, and Column B showed the difference. Now when I try to print the amended return the amended values are populated in both Column A and Column C, and Column B shows zero. What do I need to do to get turbo tax to print the correct values in the correct columns?

Depends ... did you use the online or downloaded program to complete the original amended return ?

Online : If you only get the incorrect 1040X then you must have accidentally started the amendment process a second time and that overwrote your first amended return permanently. Nothing you can do to fix this issue unless you want to manually fill in the form 1040X using the original 1040 & the new 1040 for columns A & C.

Downloaded : Open the return and undo the second amendment by switching to the FORMS mode and deleting the 1040X.
