Hello,

I just received a letter from the IRS stating that my 2017 Taxes done by TurboTax was incorrect. On the taxes filed, I never claimed any Child Tax Credit, Add. Child Tax Credit, Earned Income Credit or the American Opportunity Credit yet, they are removing deduction from my taxes which went from IRS owing me $2800 to me owing $7000! I ran it through TT always at least 5 times to check for errors and such and it never claimed those credits. Something about the total on line 63 was $3000 off. So now I owe $over $8900 with penalties and interest.

I have no clue what to do next because, TT files look correct and all the correct info was entered.

Take a look at the information at the following link:  TurboTax Audit Support Center

If you purchased Audit Defense for your 2017 return, that is your best place to start.  There are links on the Audit Support Center page.

If you did not purchase Audit Defense, contact TurboTax Support for further assistance.  There is a link for that as well on the Audit Support Center page.
