2019 State amendment problem

I already received my state refund and then remembered I didn't include a contribution. I went into TurboTax and made the change and saved it with the additional refund. It will not let me amend this now that I saved the new amount. The system doesn't think that I need to do an amendment.

You need to start the "amend your return" option before you enter the contribution. So, remove the contribution to put the return back to its original state, then start the amend process and then put the contribution in.
