I have completed my 2019 taxes, and they were sent off. The other day, we received a W-2 for my wife when she did a part time job early in 2019. How do I go and correct my taxes now, or do I do some form to rectify the income finding, before I get penalized? Thank you

If you efiled your tax return and it was accepted or if you just mailed your return, you will have to prepare, print and mail an amended return form 1040X to add the W-2. Do not change your original return before you start the amended return. If you are receiving a refund, wait for it before sending an amended return.  Here is a link for help: https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1894381-how-to-amend-change-or-correct-a-return-you-already-filed

An amended return can't be efiled. It must be printed and mailed by you. It takes the IRS about 16 weeks to process an amended return.
