I had been using TurboTax for many years and for whatever reason I only saved a PDF version of my tax form from 2023 and when I do 2024 it doesn't recognize the file and wont transfer 2023 details into my 2024 filing, how can I get a copy of the other versions of my tax return, when my partner did his 2024 it recognized his file and everything worked perfectly but we had saved multiple version of his 2023 file.

I tried using the steps provided but I have been unsuccessful in pulling my records.

You need the .tax2023 file to transfer all of your 2023 information in to 2024 when you start the 2024 return. A pdf only puts a few things like your name and SSN in.

Search your whole computer including the trash bin for the .tax2023 file.

If it is gone or you did not save the tax file, then you start from scratch for 2024.
