Accidently Selected "E-Filed" for Previous Year Instead of "Mailed In"

I just submitted my taxes and in the final questions, it was looking to verify my identity by asking for my AGI from my previous tax returns in 2022.

It first asked which method I went about for filing last year and I had selected "e-filed through another service" but then realized after submitting that I had mailed it in.

Right now, my federal and state taxes are pending, but I'm wondering if this is a big enough deal that I would need to create an amended tax return and mail it in if my taxes this year get accepted.

Any advice on if this would be worth doing? Or is it not that big a deal if the AGI from my previous tax forms still would match?

Thanks!

No you don't amend for that.  If the IRS rejects the AGI.....

Try entering 0 for the AGI. The IRS might have processed your return later so the AGI didn't get entered in time.  Especially if you mailed it.  That works for most people. See,

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

Gotcha. Yeah, it initially got rejected I guess cause the AGI didn't get entered in time so I went in and entered 0 and just got notified that the federal return got accepted so I'm hoping the state return will be the same.
