Does my daughter that I claim as a dependent need to file if she only worked for a short time

You are not required to enter your daughter's 1098-T, but because you are claiming her as dependent, you would be able to get any education credits she qualifies for.

She is not required to file a tax return if she is a dependent and her only has earned income less than $6,300 but if she had  taxes withheld (Box 2 W2) and file, she will get a refund.  If you are claiming her as a dependent, be sure to indicate in Turbo Tax that "someone else can claim her as a dependent"  and "someone else will claim her' in the Personal Info section so the correct exemption is applied.
