Question

Amend 2021 return for economic impact payment received

I filed stating that I hadn't received this $1400. I was wrong after finding past bank statements.

DO I have to amend or will IRS simply subtract $1400 from my expected return amount?

If I have to amend, how within TurboTax ? Can't find this within program. Help

    The IRS knows that the stimulus payment was sent to you.  They will adjust your tax return accordingly.  If you are owed a refund it will be delayed by several weeks or longer.

    You do not need to amend the 2021 tax return you filed.
