Amend taxes

You will need to amend your return in order to enter some of the documents you just received. The 1095C does not need to be entered in TurboTax. Keep it with your tax files. 

You will want to wait until your original return is processed by the IRS before filing the amended return. If you are due a refund, wait until you receive it before filing the amended return. If you owe the IRS funds, wait until the payment clears your bank account before filing. 

In TurboTax Online, simply login to your account and select “Amend a return that was filed and accepted.” If you used our CD/download product, sign back into your return and select “Amend a filed return.”
