Amended 2021 return for missing stiulus payment say printed

I amended my 2021 Alabama return due to missing stimulus payments. Federal says accepted but state says printed. What does printed mean? I filed in March last year.

If all it says for your state return is "Printed" then it seems that you did not file your state return, unless you actually did print it, sign it, put it in an envelope and mail it to the state. If you did not do that, the state return was not filed. In order to file it now, you will need to print, sign and mail it. E-filing is closed for 2021 returns.
