While doing my 2023 taxes, I realized I had not included a source of income so amended my 2022 return and sent it in. Have not received anything back yet but I owed $1845. Is there anything on  my 2023 tax return I need to adjust to account for these taxes paid?

Federal tax you paid for 2022 is not deductible on your 2023 return.  There is no place to enter that on your 2023 federal return.

There is a handful of states in which you can enter federal tax you paid on the state return:

Alabama, Iowa. Missouri, Montana, and Oregon.  If you are filing in one of these states watch for the deduction when you prepare your state return.

Federal income taxes owed and paid for a prior tax year are not reported on a current year tax return.

Thank you. I just wanted to make sure. We're in NJ and I think I'm good there.
