I got a 1099 misc after I filed , I am amending, now for only 57.14 , but it won't let me pass the changes to rental, I have only royalties, no federal income tax withheld or rental, just royalties. What do I do with the changes. So I can finish amending my return

It depends. The direct entry of royalties may be the best approach. First remove the Form 1099-MISC using the link below for your TurboTax version.

    • If you're using TurboTax Online software and need to delete a form, click here.
    • If you're using TurboTax Desktop software and need to delete a form, click here.

Next, directly enter your royalties using the steps below or use 'Other Income' and use the description of 'Royalties' since the amount is low.

    • Royalties: Open your TurboTax return > Search (upper right) > type royalties > Click the Jump to.. link
    • Other Income: Other Miscellaneous Income:
    1. Sign into your TurboTax Online account
    2. Go to Tax Home (left panel)  Wages and Income  section
    3. Scroll to  Less Common Income > Select  Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C
    4. Select Other reportable Income > Enter a description (----) and the amount
