Question

Amending my 2017 return by accident made me lose the actual return filed. Is there anyway I can get the actual return filed? My lender is not accepting tax transcript.

Getting this through IRS takes 75 days and I am dissapointed the actual return doesn't get saved by itself on Turbotax.

Sorry, but if you amended your tax return without saving the original return, then you overwrote the original when you amended and it is gone forever.

Note:  Every year, before mid-October, print a copy of your current year tax return and save it as a tax file and pdf, too.  That way you will have it when you need it for school, a loan, next year’s tax return, etc. without going through a lot of aggravation (and expense)  to get it.
