I selected amend taxes for a reason I thought I needed to and now I have to mail the docs and can't file online. But, there was no amendment on the docs, no changes were made at all. I'm filling with the amendment docs but there was no changes so I messed up.

I selected amend taxes for a reason I thought I needed to and now I have to mail the docs and can't file online. But, there was no amendment on the docs, no changes were made at all. I'm filling with the amendment docs but there was no changes so I messed up.

Please clarify your question by adding some additional information so we may better help you. Such as: What version of TurboTax are you using? What were you amending your return for? Did you complete the amended return? Did you change the section on the amended return that is affected by what you were amending for? Are you trying to amend for 2024? If not, what year?

Free option.
I did not actually amend anything and I should not have selected amend but did because at the time I thought I downloaded an incomplete W2.
I put the docs in the mail.
I put in the notes nothing was amended and I selected it when I really did not need to. 2024.

Did you file an original return? If you did, and nothing changed on the amended return, no harm no foul. Nothing will change.

If you did not file an original return and only sent an amended return, you can go to delete a form and delete the 1040X and then file your actual return.

From the left rail menu in TurboTax Online, select Tax Tools (You may have to scroll down on the left rail menu.)
On the drop-down select Tools
On the Pop-Up menu titled “Tools Center,” select Delete a Form
This will show all of the forms in your return
Scroll down to the form you want to delete
Select the Form
Click on Delete.

Always use extreme caution when deleting information from your tax return.  There could be unintended consequences.
