Question

Attempted to print a 2019 tax return out. The California return says amended but we only started an amendment and never submitted one. Am I missing something?

Form540NR on the California return.  I need this form as we forgot to submit the California return with our Virginia return to prove we weren't residents.  We 100% never submitted an amendment and it says amendment at the top left of the page.

once you start an amendment your filing is marked "amended return".

When you submit (if ever) is up to you and has nothing to do with it.
