Question

Because of an error, I didn't schedule enough to be withdrawn by the IRS and still owe money for 2019 taxes. How do I amend this and pay more?

I filed the 1st time but it was rejected due to an error. Upon fixing the error I now owe more money. How do I amend the amount I scheduled to pay?

It depends.

If your original return was rejected from electronic filing, your payment details were never submitted.  Therefore, when you select File this time to transmit your return, you will be able to update your payment amount again to reflect your corrected return.

If your return was filed and accepted, you will need to go directly to the IRS website to update your payment information.
