Can an amended state return for California be e-filed or does it need to be mailed (paper-filed) if there is no refund/due amount on the amended state return?
I am currently residing outside the US and wondering if I need to paper file an amended state return for California when the tax refund/due amount is zero. I was able to e-file an amended federal return and wondering if the same can be done for the amended state return.
