Can I amend a return on TurboTax if I filed it manually?

I completed the forms myself and mailed them in with an error. IRS says process is smoother if I use third-party software to e-file the amended return.

Yes, but it requires some work, and not until late March when the 1040-X form is ready here.

You would first have to recreate your original return in TT exactly as it was filed. Then fool the system and tell it to file by mail (but don't do so), and then Amend. Come back at the end of the month.
