Can I amend my 2024 tax return that I already filed

I need to amend my 2024 tax filing status from Single to Head of Household

Yes, you can file an amended return to change your filing status.  You should wait until the original return is fully processed (including receiving a refund if you were expecting one).  Then, you can prepare the amended return.

There is no reason to wait.

change your status and amend before April 15th with any addional tax payment.

TurboTax doesn't point it out but you  must make a copy of original return in paper or PDF form, before starting to amend.
