Can I change my information to be a dependent on my mother's tax return?

If you have already filed your tax return, you will have to wait to see if it is either Accepted or Rejected by the IRS.
If your return is Rejected, for whatever reason, you can then make the change and resubmit your return.
If your return is Accepted, you will have to file an amended return on Form 1040X.
