Do you mean that you want to have your tax refund deposited in your mother's bank account? Many banks check the name on the deposit against the name on the account, and will reject the deposit if the names don't match. The IRS encourages the banks to check. But a lot of banks do not check and will process the deposit based only on the account number. So ask your bank whether they will accept a direct deposit with a different name.
