Preparing a 2019 return may not take long, but processing of the paper return at the IRS likely won't be very fast at all; in fact, it may be tied up a long time (weeks or months) at the IRS, but here's how:

Online TurboTax is only for 2020 returns.  You cannot prepare a 2019 return online.   To prepare a 2019 return with TurboTax you would have to purchase and use 2019 desktop software and install it on your computer.   You can purchase the 2019 software as a download directly from TurboTax at this link:

The 2019 return cannot be efiled.  It has to be printed, signed, dated, and mailed.  It's best to mail by a method that has tracking, such as Certified or Priority Mail.   If you have both Federal and state returns, then mail each one separately to the respective tax agency.
