Question

Can I download a 2017 .tax file that contains just my federal return without the state returns for amending? The software wants me to buy state software for 3 states.

I am seeking rebates for a solar system, had three state returns that year, 2 of which were very nominal.  If I could just get a .tax file of my federal returns that I could use for amending I feel that I could avoid these extra purchases.
