Can i file a 2017 federal return with the 2016 turbo tax that i purchased

i purchased 2016 home and business online I sucessfully printed it out and sent it out now i have to file my 2017 federal return but im not sure how before i purchased it i made sure that i could file 2016 as well as 2017 returns just not sure how please help

Unfortunately, you cannot use the 2017 income tax return using the 2016 TurboTax software. Tax rates and tax rules change every year. Using the 2016 software will not print out forms for 2017 and will not deliver accurate results.
