Can I fix a mistake in my tax return after it has been filed?

I did my tax return but I did not initially include my HSA information. I later did it but I am not sure if it was included because when I try to download my return again, it does not show the HSA form.

If you wish to change your return after it has been filed, you'll have to amend it.

As you have already filed, please wait to see if your return is accepted or rejected. If rejected, you may correct and resubmit. If it is accepted, you need to file an amended return.

If you are expecting a refund, we recommend that you wait to amend until after the IRS has processed your original return and you have received your refund.
