Question

Can I get a copy of my 2022 tax return filed with TurboTax?

I used TurboTax for my 2022 taxes on my PC desktop and need a copy for data references for my 2023 taxes.
Turbo Tax shows processing my 2022 Federal and State taxes but no files are available to transfer data from my 2022 tax file to the new 2023 Turbo Tax file.

If you used the CD/download for your 2022 return the tax files are stored on your own hard drive.  They are not stored in an online account.

Or did you use online TT for 2022?

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

If you saved the 2022 tax return, either by clicking on Yes to save the file when exiting the program on by clicking on File in the upper left of the desktop program screen and clicking on Save or Save As...the 2022 tax data file will be on your hard drive.

The tax data file and any saved PDF's are stored, by default, in the TurboTax folder within the Documents directory.  Look in the folder for a save tax data file, it will have a file extension of .tax2022.

If not in the folder, then you will need to do a hard drive search on all your local drives, remote drives, cloud drives and USB drives.   Search on *.tax*
