Question

Can I have boyfriends taxes direct deposited into my bank,? I have power of attorney due to him being in prison so I can file his taxes ?

I have POA over his financial and taxes. I am.not able to set up a credit karma account for him. So I need to have deposited into mine .

Is his name on the  bank account too?  Better ask your bank.  You usually can not deposit a refund if your name is not on the account.  Then the bank will send it back and the IRS will mail you a check.

He needs to have a bank or savings account.

Get a Treasury check for refund (expires after  a year).

You can endorse the check for deposit into his banking account, but POA won't lett you deposit into your own account.

If you use mobile deposit, you can scrawl some signature for endorsement.
