Can I know why I did not receive the full amount of my refund?

Which refund?   For what tax year?   TurboTax never gets any information from the IRS or your state when they reduce your refund.  They send you a letter a few weeks later to explain what they changed and why your refund was reduced.  Sometimes it is because they found something you entered incorrectly or it could be for back taxes or child support you owed, etc.

 

And for 2020---lots of people made mistakes with the stimulus amounts received which resulted in lowered refunds.
