Can I make a correction to the amount of income tax paid?

It depends.

If you are trying to correct the amount entered as estimated tax payments, you can make your corrections in the Federal section.

1. Click on the Deductions and Credits section under the Federal Tab 
2. Select Estimates and Other Taxes Paid.  (If you do not see this, click on See All Tax Breaks) 
3. Select Estimated Tax Payments 
4. You will be able to make your corrections here

If you need to make corrections for withholdings on wages, you will make your corrections in the Federal section as well.

To enter your W-2 information, go to the Federal section of the program. 

1. Select Income & Expenses
2. Select Job (W-2)
3. Click Edit/Add to the right of the Job (W-2) 
4. Make your corrections in this section

Follow the prompts above if you have withholdings entered for any other forms (1099s) and just proceed to the applicable section to make your corrections.
