Can I manually edit my state return? I need to revise the earnings but only for MI.

I am a student with Michigan residency, but earned income in Ohio at a State University. I need to revise my MI earnings as I should not pay state taxes.

As a Michigan resident, you would be required to report and pay income on all income regardless of where it was earned. If you had Ohio withholding and filed nonresident for Ohio, you can apply the credit for taxes paid to another state. Also, Michigan and Ohio have a reciprocal agreement, so it is possible to report and pay tax in Michigan only (but this is only if you did not have Ohio tax withheld.)
