Can I use cash app for my refund ? All I did was provide the tax agent with my routing number and account number will I be good?

@Shanteria25 You should be able to use CashApp if you have a debit card with them. You must call them to verify your routing and account number.

Yes. The IRS sent both my stimulus checks thru direct deposit on my cash app. I gave them the same info for my refund. Only thing is that you can only take out 1k every 7 days. So if you dont trust your money to sit there maybe you should try another option. Good luck

You’re not alone. Millions of tax payers are still waiting for their taxes to be processed by the IR. Per IRS, they have around 12 million tax returns that have been caught in a processing backlog created by the pandemic, which shut down the IRS for a time. Americans should see their refunds in the coming months. "We would hope to be through this backlog by the summer," said IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig.

Keep checking the IRS Where's My Refund page to see if your refund status has been updated.

Other reasons some returns take longer to process are the following:

Perhaps you had a refund offset.
Includes errors
Is incomplete
Is affected by identity theft or fraud
Includes a claim filed for an Earned Income Tax Credit or an Additional Child Tax Credit. See Q&A below.
Includes a Form 8379, which could take up to 14 weeks to process
Needs further review in general
The IRS will contact you by mail when we need more information to process your return.

Did you put Sutton bank or Lincoln’s savings for bank name? Because I put Sutton that’s what it literally says in back of card

@mchili95 You added to an old post ... but what the bank is called is immaterial as long as you have the correct routing & account numbers for the DD which you will NOT find on the debit card. Contact your card administrator for the correct DD information.

Yea I got the direct deposit info off my cash app, it just asked for a bank name too that’s why I ask.. but the routing and account number is good, thank you

I would highly recommend not using cash app for your tax refund I use my routing number and account number correctly for cash app to receive my tax refund on TurboTax and I was supposed to get my refund on May 11 and I have not received my refund and cash app can’t tell me anything about where it’s at and what’s going on with it. So I definitely would not trust cash app I would definitely just get a prepaid debit card through what Walmart or some sort of prepaid debit card like current or chime
