Can the IRS take more money than noted on the return if you give them bank account information.  If they find there is late penalties associated with balance can they take that extra money out if you give routing and checking information?

The IRS will send you a bill in the mail to the address entered on your tax return for any penalties or interest owed.  They will not debit your bank account.
