Can you amend taxes for the education credit?

Hi, I am currently a college student who is filing their taxes yet I owe somewhere around $860 for my tuition rebate. I make maybe around a hundred dollars for a week for a small part time job so this was out of my expectations. I'm claimed as a dependent so I alone do not qualify for the education credit, however, the person that did claim me has already filed their taxes. When they filed their taxes they were told that I needed to file my 1098t along also. They filed my 1098t on their taxes, but it didn't seem to affect any of their deductions or credits. Is there anything I could be doing wrong? Thanks.

Who ever claimed you as a dependent is the person that would file the 1098-T on their tax return.  You would not be required to file the 1098-T if you are claimed as a dependent on someone else's return.

But what if it told her that my Education Experience counts as an income?
