Can you change dependant status with an amendment using form 1040?

I erroneously declared that I can be claimed as a dependant on my 2020 tax return which made me ineligible for the stimulus. Is there any way I can change this? I don't see the option on the form.

Yes, if you do not meet the requirements to be claimed as a dependent, then you can amend your return to change your status. Please go to the "My Info" section:

Click “My Info” tab in the black bar on the left side of your screen.
Click “Edit” next to the name.
Scroll down to the first question in Section 3: “A few other things we need to know”
Answer the question "Someone else can claim me as a dependent on their tax return"
