No one can see your tax return.   We do not know who "they" are.   Where are you seeing that amount?  Did you enter a SSA1099----or two of them--one for each spouse?  Did you double check your own data entries?

Up to 85% of Social Security becomes taxable when all your other income plus 1/2 your social security, reaches:

    Married Filing Jointly: $32,000

Single or head of household: $25,000

    Married Filing Separately: 0

To see the Social Security Benefits Calculation Worksheet in Turbo Tax Online version you would have to save your return with all the worksheets to your computer. Or if you are using the Desktop CD/Download Software you can switch to Forms Mode (click Forms in the upper right) and click on SS in the list on the right side.

What do you mean by "total ss amount"? Are you talking about Social Security benefits that you received, in box 5 of your SSA-1099, or Social Security tax withheld from your pay in box 4 of your W-2? Or are you talking about a Social Security amount on Form 1040 or another form? What form and what line?
