Question

Can you tell me why our return now says “we’re sorry your return is taking longer than normal to process?” On the turbo site it says we should get it the 14th. Why?

Only the IRS controls when your refund will be issued.  TurboTax only gave you an estimated date that is not a promise or guarantee.   Keep watching for information on the IRS site.  If they want more information from you they will send a letter to request it.
