If you have filed your tax return and then discover that you have to edit your return you will have to wait until the IRS either accepts or rejects your tax return.
If the return is rejected you will correct the error that caused the rejection, edit your return and refile.
If the return was accepted by the IRS then you will have to file an amended tax return using Form 1040X to edit to your tax return.
If you have the wrong EIN on your tax return, and have already e-filed your return, you won't be able to change this information. You would need to wait until your return is either Rejected, and fix the rejection and the EIN or if your return is Accepted, you would want to amend your return and fix the EIN.
