As I was finishing up my turbo tax for this year it showed a bar chart of all the Credits I recieved since 2019, every year it was 2000 for the child tax credit except for year 2021.  I think this is a mistake because I did not earn any less or more for that year. Is there anyway I can check and amend this? thanks!

The child tax credit was different for 2021.  That is the year that the IRS sent out monthly child tax credit payments from July through December---$300/month for children under 6 and $250/month for children age 6 to 17.   You got "half of the maximum amount by December and the other "half" on your tax return---for a total of $3600 for children under 6 and $3000 for children under 18.   The tax laws changed back to the "old" law and old amount for 2022 and 2023.

oh ok thank; so most likely I didn't mess anything up - it was already paid throughout the year?

@simplitia1 Look at your online account with the IRS to see.

Try checking your online account with the IRS (and if you filed a joint return—check for BOTH of you)
