It's possible that you answered something incorrectly, but you may not qualify for the credit.

According to Automatic Taxpayer Refund, you can "claim the $200 ATR as a refundable tax credit only if you:

  • received Social Security benefits in 2022 (eligibility documents will be required); and
  • are not claimed as a dependent on someone else’s 2022 Indiana income tax return"

So, if you don't qualify for the credit based on these requirements, you may not have seen a relevant screen in TurboTax.

But, to get back to that spot in the state interview portion of TurboTax Online:

  1. If you don’t see 2022 TAXES in the left pane, select the dropdown to the right of State Taxes on the Hi, let’s keep working on your taxes! page and then select Let’s get startedPick up where you left off, or Review/Edit.
    • Otherwise, in the left pane, select Your State Returns under State Taxes
  2. Select  Edit to the right of Indiana
  3. Proceed through the state interview
  4. You'll come to a screen in the Indiana portion of the TurboTax interview titled Additional Automatic Taxpayer Refund.  On that screen, you'll answer Yes to the question Do you want to see if you qualify for this refund?
  5. Then, answer the questions on the Additional Automatic Taxpayer Refund page, and select Continue
  6. The program will tell you whether you qualify on the next screen, also titled Additional Automatic Taxpayer Refund
