I am filing my deceased mother's 2018 taxes.  I prepaid the federal and state amounts owed with the extension request, but forgot to put the state prepayment amount on the 1040.  Turbo Tax couldn't e-file so I printed them out, but need to go back and fix the error and add the prepayment amount.  The only option I have is to "amend return" but this doesnt' seem right since I never mailed in the form or filed it. SO I just need to fix it and reprint the actual return.  Why can't I do this?

NO--do not click on "amend"  You do not amend a return that has not ever been filed in the first place.

I clicked on “amend” by mistake

When you go back in to your account, you might need to click on "Add a State" to get back in and make changes.  You are not really going to add a state, but that will allow you to go back to the return and make necessary corrections.
