Direct debit delay

I opted to pay my taxes owed to Illinois by direct debit on March 14.  To this day the funds are sitting in my bank account and have not been removed, but I have received other states refunds that went through when I filed all the states together.   Is there a delay for Illinois or should I send in a physical check/cash to insure that my taxes are paid?

Before sending in a check to pay for your taxes, you may want to reach out to the Illinois Department of Revenue. They can take a look at your account and advise whether or not there's a delay and what to expect as far as when your payment will be deducted. Here's how to reach someone: Illinois Department of Revenue
