You may have the opportunity to apply for a no-fee Refund Advance.

If you apply for a Refund Advance, your application will need to be approved by First Century Bank, N.A. before you can receive your advance.

You will also need to be approved for a Turbo Visa Debit Card.

You will be able to select Refund Advance in the Your Refund info step of the File section. The Turbo Visa Debit Card option does not include a Refund Advance.

You must completely fill out your tax return, including entering your tax forms (like a W2 or a 1099), before you can apply for Refund Advance.

You cannot apply for Refund Advance after you file your taxes.

Please click About Refund Advance to learn more.

I indicated the amount to be withdrawn from direct payment should be taken out of our checking account on 4-12 but has not been done yet ?

In a normal season, the IRS will debit your account on the date you specified or soon after.  We have had several reports of the IRS not debiting accounts on the scheduled date. Just be patient -- the IRS will take your money!

If you want to check the debit date you specified, look on the filing instructions for your return.  It will tell you the debit date the IRS or State will deduct the payment.  If you did not print them out you can view them using the following steps:

TurboTax Online

To get back into your return after printing or e-filing, please follow these steps:

  1. In TurboTax Online, sign into your account.

  2. You should be on your Tax Home page.

  3. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents.

  4. Select 2020, and then select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this just gets you into the right menu).

  5. Once you're in your return, you can navigate around as usual.

  6. Click Tax Tools (in the black bar on the left of your screen) and then click select Print Center.

  7. Click Print, save or preview this year's return

TurboTax CD/Download

  1. Go into Forms Mode by clicking on the Forms icon in the top right of the blue bar.

  2. In the Forms in My Return list on the left, click Filing Inst.  [It's usually toward the bottom of the list.]  The form will appear on the right side of the screen.

  3. You can view the form on the screen or you can print a copy by clicking the Print box at the bottom of the screen.

  4. To return to the interview, click on the Step-By-Step icon in the top right of the blue bar.

The IRS does take some time to withdraw funds. They are backlogged. Try waiting up to a few days before the May 17 deadline before prompting a secondary means of payment. Otherwise, it could end up that you double pay and then have to wait for a refund.

To determine if there is a problem, check your account here: IRS: View Your Tax Account Information

If the payment has still not been withdrawn and you are within a few days of May 17, go to IRS Paying Your Taxes for options or see 2020 Form 1040 Instructions, page 62. Payment options include:

Where do I input information for bank for a refund?

@mahlonnotax

When you go through the FILE section you can enter your bank account and bank routing number for a direct deposit.   Make sure you enter it correctly.   You cannot change it after you file your tax return.

Turbo Tax will not know what refund method you chose. You can save your return as a PDF and review the documents. You can also revisit the Refund Method section in Turbo Tax. Please see the Turbo Tax FAQs below.

This Turbo Tax FAQ will show you how to save your 2021 return as a PDF and print. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/saving/help/how-do-i-save-my-turbotax-online-return-as-a-pdf/00/26234

I just received my state return which was the correct amount in full but then I received a payment from TPG Products SBTPG LLC PPD that was less than half the amount I am suppose to be receiving. This is extremely frustrating as the IRS accepted my returns. I have read plenty of comments from people concerned and suspicious of turbotax for ripping people off and putting unnecessary charges on our order. I would like my refund corrected immediately or I will be forced to take legal action.

@alexisbarth222 Have you checked the IRS site to see if the IRS says they sent the refund amount that you expected?   Or is there a message there that says they reduced your refund?
