Solved

Direct deposit info not transferred from prior year return. I can key in since I'm not finished. Has anyone else had this problem this year?

Yes!
TurboTax 2016 Premier/Deluxe CD versions apparently no longer transfer Direct Deposit Info from prior year's return when transferring to current year (although the software USED to transfer this info!) When software behaves unexpectedly, the user justifiably, loses confidence in it. Manually typing this info provides yet another opportunity for an unnecessary mistake (IMHO!) State Employer ID from prior year's W-2 apparently no longer transfers either.

Just talked to TurboTax support. They said info doesn't transfer anymore to protect taxpayer info re: identity theft. I made two suggestions: 1. it would be nice if they post some kind of notice when they change something like this and 2. I asked that they add an option to key some kind of password or data so that the direct deposit info, etc will transfer to new return to reduce errors rekeying that info. Would seem they could also check to see if prior year TurboTax program is still installed - if it is, that info is available to anyone by opening the prior year return unless they start password protecting the individual tax return files.
