Do I need to amend my 2022 tax return

2022 I filed with turbo tax I was not supposed to claim my child as a dependent, it was her dads year, but I was told because I filed HOH that my child was automatically added as a dependent. I found out after my return was filed about my mistake. So my child’s father had me sign tax form 8332, and my question is do I need to amend still or does that form take care of it?

The Form 8332 will not correct what you reported on your tax return. If you claimed the child as your dependent in error, you either need to amend the return or wait for the  IRS to do so on your behalf if the child's other parent complained to them about what happened.

Will amending last years return affect when I receive this years return?

Amending a 2022 tax return will have no effect on when you receive the 2023 tax refund.
