Do I need to amend my return if I didn't include the amount I paid back towards an overpayment on my unemployment?

I read on the IRS website that if I repaid any amount on on an overpayment on my unemployment that I was supposed to calculate and deduct that amount from the total amount received but I've already filed my return a want to know if I need to amend my return to fix my my mistake. And if so, what happens when you amend your return?

You may want to Amend Your Return if adding the amount of unemployment you repaid makes a difference in your refund.

Save a copy of your filed return, then open your return to Amend and go through the Unemployment entry to enter the repaid amount.

If it changes your refund, wait until you receive the refund from your first filed return before preparing your Amended Return.
