Do I need to amend my return if information was missing from box 12?

I received notice that my employer forgot to report an amount for my insurance in box 12. They are sending a new W-2, but I already filed my taxes. Do I need to amend my return?

No.  As long as the amount in box 1 of your W-2 has not changed.  Entries in box 12 of your W-2 are just for your information only.

If the amounts in box 1 have changed, then you will want to amend your return to reflect the new amounts.
