Do I need to amend my taxes if I accidentally put that I live in a city where they have city taxes and I do not live in the city limits?

It asked for the city I lived in on a drop down menu and I put the closet city but I dont live in that city. I live in the county.

No, you would not need to amend your federal tax return to fix your city/local taxes.  Make sure your employer has the correct information on your W-2 and TurboTax will handle those correctly.  If you think you have paid a city or local tax to the wrong municipality, contact that city to verify and get any refund due you.

Would the same thing apply if someone filed with the wrong city for a few years? An example being they live in city A but work in City B, and have mistakenly been filing taxes with City B instead of A. Is there someone specific that can help me handle this?
